Winter Wonderland

Got up this morning to a sea of white - early on , before the day's traffic got into gear, even the roads were covered. My garden looked prettier than it has done since last summer, but the weather has changed again and we have had fairly heavy rain for two or three hours now . The wind is back to howling down the chimney , and my garden is back in its brown winter coat - but it was jolly while it lasted, though I suspect that areas of the country that have had rather more than a 'prettying' wouldn't agree.
